What is Reflexology?Reflexology uses energy lines that connect all areas of the body to the feet. Each foot is like a road map, indicating different organs and areas of the body, and massaging any given part of the map, can bring about a reflex response in that connected area of the body.
History of Reflexology.
Reflexology is far from being a new-fangled hippy therapy! A picture within an Egyptian tomb dating back to 2300BC shows a form of foot therapy being practiced.
Modern reflexology very probably has its roots in ancient Chinese therapies, and is not dissimilar to accupuncture in its use of reflex points. During the 19th and early 20th centuries the procedure was further researched and developed to become the full holistic treatment which is practiced today.

"Prevention is better
than cure"
An old adage which carries a lot of weight with today's modern lifestyles, and reflexology can be a very effective way of helping to acheive just that.
Reflexology is suitable for almost everyone of all ages. There may be some conditions where a written note from your doctor will be required before treatment can be undertaken, however this is not commonplace. You need not be suffering from any problems in order to benefit from reflexology.
Reflexology is only carried out on your feet, so it does not invade your "personal space" unlike some therapies.
